K-Swiss K-Ruuz $85

K-Swiss K-Ruuz $85
The swiftest member of the K-Swiss running family features the same serious focus as the rest of the line.

It also features a few triathlon-inspired touches: laces with link-sausagelike texture to stay tied, drainage through the shank, and perforations at the toe and heel for air flow (which K-Swiss calls its “FlowCool System”). The upper is open mesh with HF-welded midfoot overlays. The midsole is very low profile with a Superfoam crash pad and Strobel board for cushioning. There’s a small medial post for stability, which is especially useful in a racer since fatigue usually results in reduced biomechanical efficiency (you know, your form breaks down as you near the end of a race). Overall, the K-Ruuz is an excellent racer for the speedy, but it’s so lightweight that it’s better suited to shorter races.

  • Sizes: men 8–12,13,14; women 5.5–10,11
  • Weight: 6.0 oz. (men’s 11); 4.6 oz. (women’s 8)
  • Shape: semi-curved Fit: snug heel, close-fitting forefoot
  • For: medium- to high-arched feet with neutral biomechanics to very mild overpronation
  • Range: efficient runners - up to 35K or beyond; heavy strikers - up to 15K

Richland, WA
The 3 Rivers Road Runners have been running strong in the Tri-Cities, Washington since the late 1970's. One of our distinguished members has run over 100 marathons! But the club isn't just for experienced runners- we welcome all who share our lifestyle of enjoying a good run. The 3 Rivers Road Runners are for runners of all shapes and sizes, from the veteran ultramarathoner to the beginner working towards that first 5 km fun run, and everyone in betweeThe primary goal of the 3 Rivers Road Runners is to promote running events in the Tri-Cities. Besides providing events for our members and the runners in the region, with our events we hope to attract new runners to the club that can benefit from the healthful, positive lifestyle gained through running. Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon
North Bend, WA
Thanks to all our runners and volunteers for a delightful event! Every year during the last couple of days (or weeks) before the race date, we pretty much decide that we're not going to do this again, but every year, once race day arrives, we change our minds and conclude that we definitely have to do it again next year. It is so much fun to host all you runners for the race and lunch afterwards, to hear a few of your stories, to see you all enjoying your well-earned rest and refreshment after your runs. Thanks all of you for participating in this year's Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon. Before I wax too verbose, please note the Results of today's race are up already. Please let us know if you find any errors and we'll correct them. Meanwhile we've got some sleep to catch up on, so we're headed off to bed. More comments to follow soon.

Yakima River Canyon Marathon
Yakima, WA
This point-to-point marathon course is exceptionally scenic as it offers spectacular views of the Yakima River Canyon. It starts on Canyon Road .2 mile south of the Berry Road intersection in Ellensburg, Washington. After two loops, it proceeds directly south to the canyon. There are two major hills and many curves as the course follows the Yakima River downstream on the asphalt surfaced highway. The long downhill just before the finish in rural Selah, Washington, near the canyon's mouth contributes to the net elevation loss of a few hundred feet as it brings the runners to the Yakima Valley orchard and ranch country.
